Premier League Matchday 14 Predictions
Welcome back to the Attacking Football Premier League predictions. Today, you have me, Yassin, who is grateful that Ruben Amorim is Manchester United manager. For that reason, I tried to find a reason for each fanbase of a Premier League to be grateful for. Before you do that, you can check out last week’s predictions to compare how the lads did!
Premier League Matchday 14 Preview & Predictions
Ipswich vs Crystal Palace
Ipswich Town: Kieran Mckenna. The Northern Irish manager took Ipswich from League one to the Premier League in two years. He transformed this club in the space of two years.
Crystal Palace: Oliver Glasner. The Austrian manager is the reason the Eagles are still in the Premier League this season. Their start of the season was not easy but they lost a lot of players and you can trust Glasner to find a solution.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 2-1 Ipswich. The Tractor Boys continue their positive momentum by a win against the Eagles.
Alex’s Prediction: 2-0 Ipswich.
Leicester City vs West Ham
Brighton: Mads Hermansen. The Danish goalkeeper has been a revelation this season. If not for him, Leicester would have 0 points. He kept them in games they had no business being in only for them to snatch something out of the games in the end.
West Ham: Jarrod Bowen. The English winger has been the only constant in the Hammers team all season. His contributions are not as good as last season but he is still doing whatever he can.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 2-0 Leicester. Fighting in front of their fans and benefitting from a new manager bounce, the foxes get their first win in Ruud van Nistelrooy era.
Alex’s Prediction: 1-0 Leicester.
Southampton vs Chelsea
Southampton: Tyler Dibbling. The young English winger has been a bright spark for the Saints. No one knows for how long will be the Saints able to keep him but the fans should be grateful that they see him every week.
Chelsea: Nicolas Jackson. Everyone thought this will be Cole Palmer but I will go with the Senegalese striker. He is silently putting a great season and has 11 goal contributions in 13 games. His finishing improved a lot too.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: : 3-2 Chelsea. The Blues has to be taken seriously at this. Southampton shoots themselves in the foot and VAR seems to have a thing against them. Chelsea wins in an entertaining game.
Alex’s Prediction: 5-0 Chelsea.
Newcastle vs Liverpool
Newcastle: Anthony Gordon. The English winger could have left for Liverpool in the summer. Instead, he is putting one exceptional performance after another for the Magpies.
Liverpool: Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian is single handedly lifting this Liverpool title challenge. He is responsible for 70% of the Reds goals whether by assisting or scoring them. If this is his last season at Anfield, the Reds fans should enjoy what is remaining of his unbelievable contributions.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 1-1. Newcastle had an atrocious performance in the weekend against Palace. They have been good against the better teams at St James Park drawing with City and beating Arsenal. That continues here with them stopping Liverpool four game win streak.
Alex’s Prediction: 3-0 Liverpool.
Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City
Nottingham Forest: Nuno Esprito Santo. The Portuguese manager turned this team into a tough outing that opponents struggle to break down. They are looking a lot like his Wolves teams in the first seasons, an annoyance to play against.
Manchester City: Pep Guardiola. I chose the easy solution here. Six Premier League titles, a treble and a domestic treble. The Spaniard has transformed the Citizens into a force in English and European football and they should always be grateful for that Forest lost to the Magpies in the last game week.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 3-1 City. It is becoming difficult to predict a city win but they are due to get out of this bad run of form sometime. They do it at City ground.
Alex’s Prediction: 1-0 Forest.
Everton vs Wolves
Everton: Sean Dyche. He is doing the best with a bad squad. The Toffess fans should remember how bad the team was in Lampard Era. If not for Dyche expertise, they would have been in the Championship this season..
Wolves: Gary O’Neil. The English manager stuck with a bad squad when he is not sufficiently backed. Everyone predicted them to go down last season only for them to finish mid table. O’neil will save them again this season

Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 4-2 Wolves. An immovable object meets an unstoppable force. Wolves concedes a lot and Everton barely scores. In this game, Wolves scores a lot and concedes a lot as all in all of their games to win what is considered a relegation six pointer.
Alex’s Prediction: 2-0 Wolves
Aston Villa vs Brentford
Aston Villa: Jhon Duran. Emery would have been the easy choice here and what a job he is doing since taking over. Yet, if not for Duran winning goals this season, the Birmingham Lions would have been in a much worse position in the League table.
Brentford: Thomas Frank. The Danish manager is sticking with this team although he may had offers to leave. He turned them from an EFL team to a mainstay in the Premier League.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 3-2 Aston Villa. The Bees are bad away from home. Emery is due to find solutions to Villa form soon. In a fun game, Villa gets the final punch to get the win.
Alex’s Prediction: 2-0 Aston Villa.
Manchester United vs Arsenal
Arsenal: Nicolas Jover. Arsenal set pieces coach, Nicolas Jover, has turned the Gunners into a machine in set pieces, He transformed them from a laughing stock in set pieces to the most dangerous team in the world.
Manchester United: Andre Onana. After replacing a legend, Onana had a rough start to life in Old Trafford. He turned it around after that Galatasaray game and he has been the Red Devils best player for the last year.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 2-1 Manchester United. Amorim announces his arrival to the Premier League by getting his first big win. The Red Devils sit in a low block and hurt Arsenal on the counter while getting burned once by Arsenal exceptional set pieces.
Alex’s Prediction: 2-1 Manchester United.

Fulham vs Brighton
Fulham: Marco Silva The Portuguese coach has always been a polarizing figure but he managed to stabilize Fulham as a mid table club after some years between the Premier League and Championship.
Brighton: Tony Bloom. The Brighton owner has built a sustainable model in Brighton. No matter who leaves, there is always a replacement ready and the team is on an upward trajectory.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 1-1. A good game between two good teams ends in a draw.
Alex’s Prediction: 1-0 Brighton.
Bournemouth vs Tottenham
Bournemouth: Bill Foley. The Cherries are on the rise since Foley took over the club. Everyone raised their eyes when he sacked O’Neil for Iraola but it proved an inspired choice. They also replaced Solanke well and built a good squad despite Richard Hughes departue for Liverpool. Bournemouth fans should be grateful they have one of the best owners in the Premier League.
Tottenham: Dejan Kulusevski. In a shootout to a colleague, the Swede has been a revelation since playing in that N8 attacking role. He is putting exceptional performances for a player learning a new position.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 3-1 Bournemouth. Tottenham mind boggling form continued. My prediction for Spurs game is not built on anything logical because they are not a logical team. It is pure luck.
Alex’s Prediction: 3-1 Bournemouth.
