OGC Nice Put £40m Price Tag On Premier League Target Jean-Clair Todibo
Jean-Clair Todibo will almost certainly move on from OGC Nice this summer, and the club have finally named their price for the young French defender. The former Barcelona player has been the subject of huge interest from the Premier League in recent months, and that is looking likely to be his destination when the summer window eventually comes around.
Manchester United are one of the clubs who have shown an interest, and the deal should be reasonably easy to do due to the fact INEOS own Nice as well as have a minority stake in the Red Devils. Todibo is open to a move to United, and has been for a number of months, dating back to the January transfer window.
Nice Want £40m For Todibo:
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that OGC Nice are looking for £40m for Todibo this summer, with a number of Premier League clubs showing interest in his signature. Another club who have made contact in the past is Tottenham Hotspur, who also have a connection with INEOS due to their sponsorship deal with INEOS Grenadier.
United are perhaps more likely to sign a central defender this summer, and could offer Todibo a starting role that Tottenham Hotspur may not be able to. Raphael Varane is looking likely to leave on a free with his contract expiring, and Harry Maguire’s future remains up in the air, with West Ham United still interested.
Jarrad Branthwaite is the main target for United, but he is a left centre-back, and Todibo could be another defensive signing the team make as they look to reshape the defensive unit. It’s a deal the Reds could do with ease, and seems like it’s nailed on to happen when the window opens.
