The Chelsea 2025/26 Side Could Be More Dangerous Than You Think

With Enzo Maresca’s first season coming to a close with a top 4 fight and Chelsea in pole position for a European trophy, most will be delighted with the Italian’s first season in charge, but there’s also plenty to look forward to as soon as next season.

Chelsea 2025/26 could be an exciting time for Blues fans.

New Arrivals

We haven’t even reached Easter yet, and the transfer mill has begun spinning around Stamford Bridge. Chelsea, as usual, have been linked to many players across Europe and beyond and it’ll be no surprise that the Blues are gearing up for a massive transfer window. Names like Liam Delap, Victor Osimhen and Benjamin Sesko have all been linked to the club in the last couple of days to provide alternative options to Nicolas Jackson. Delap, in particular, could be available for just £30m.

Chelsea have already completed the signing of Dario Essugo from Sporting, with the midfielder expected to link up with his new teammates in the summer, while Geovany Quenda, who was also picked up by the Blues from the same club, is expected to land at the bridge in 2026…exciting times.

The club is seemingly targeting positions they actually need, and that could only signal good times ahead.

Brazilian Blues

Amongst all the new arrivals expected to come in and deals already completed, Chelsea already have two world-beater Brazilians on the books who are expected to come in next season and prove themselves as Premier League-quality players.

Andrey Santos is set to come back to the Bridge after a hugely successful loan deal in Strasbourg, where the 20-year-old captained Liam Rosenior’s side and cemented himself as one of the best midfielders in Ligue 1. Expected to come back and add to Chelsea‘s already brilliant midfield, Andrey Santos could be a great addition to Maresca‘s side.

In Santos’s home country, there is another Brazilian who is tearing up the league at the minute. Estêvão has been hailed as Brazil’s next big superstar, having already surpassed Neymar’s G/A tally before turning 18.

The youngster is considered the man to take over the mantle as Brazil’s golden boy, but Chelsea will be hoping he can do the business in front of the Matthew Harding End and propel the club back up to the European pinnacle where they once were.

With competition out wide like Noni Madueke and the aforementioned Geovany Quenda, plus whatever acquisitions the club plans over the summer, Estêvão will have to hit the ground running to win over the Chelsea faithful.

The Blues Coming Back To Town.

Chelsea‘s loan army has always been a huge part of the club and not much has changed with the new rulings. Chelsea have some key players out on loan who will be looking to come back next season and prove they are good enough to keep their spot at the club;

Mike Penders & Djordje Petrovic:

Mike Penders and Djordje Petrovic are two quality keepers, which is weird why they’re out on loan when Chelsea has struggled for confidence between the sticks.

Penders, a 19-year-old who stands at 6 feet 7, has been brilliant when given the chance for Genk this season, keeping 9 clean sheets. Although probably not ready for a number 1 spot at the club, he definitely deserves a loan to Strasbourg or a rotational option at Stamford Bridge. Petrovic, however, has been incredible for Strasbourg this season and should absolutely be given a starting role at Chelsea next season.

One flaw Chelsea had last season was Petrovic’s inability to play out from the back but he has polished his craft up on loan and now is one of the most promising keepers in Europe.

Renato Veiga

A lot of fans forget that Veiga was a really strong player for Chelsea in the first half of the season. He has only gotten better for an overall defensive Juventus side and has really found his position playing as a CB for the Old Lady. With expected departures of Badisahile, Chalobah and Disasi, plus the ever-present injuries to Wesley Fofana, Renato Veiga could be a huge addition to Maresca’s back line.

Chelsea pushed on this season under Maresca and looked like a strong team when everything clicked; next season, with the potential of UCL football, the lads will have to push on even more to get back to being one of the best sides in Europe.

But despite noise around the club, the future seems extremely promising for Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea.
