SOURCES: Al Ahli Move to Sign Bayern’s Kingsley Coman
Al-Ahli club officials have entered into negotiations with Bayern Munich to obtain the services of winger Kingsley Coman, Attacking Football understands.
Earlier today, Fabrizio Romano revealed that the German club was open to letting the Frenchman leave on loan, but with a buy clause inserted. Sources close to Attacking Football have revealed that Al Ahli is now trying to sign the 28-year-old after a previous attempt to bring Richarlison to the Middle East was unsuccessful.
In 2023, Coman rejected Saudi advances, turning away contract offers worth up to €65 million net per year. We also understand that the Bayern man is currently contemplating retiring from international football.
Al Ahli is in need of attacking reinforcements after forward Allan Saint-Maximin was allowed to join Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe on loan, while Vincent Kompany’s side needs to sell players before they can buy.
With Coman being one of the top earners, his departure could open the door to more incomings. As stated, the Bavarian club is open to letting Coman leave, whether it is a loan with an obligation or a straight sale.
If a deal materialises, the French international will link up with the likes of Roberto Firmino and Riyad Mahrez at the Saudi Arabian club.
