West Ham set to bid for Harvey Barnes

The Hammers have been linked to the relegated winger constantly over the summer. Newcastle are also strong admirers, West ham are set to bid next week with a fee of £28m with add-ons rising to £33m being sent.

The English winger played 38 times for Leicester this season scoring thirteen and assisting two in all competitions. Although Leicester were relegated he is a player that deserves to be playing Premier League Football. He will certainly get his move back up to the top flight.

Although Leicester don’t want to lose a star-player, they require funds so they can spend more on transfers due to FFP. As was reported by Rob Tanner from The Athletic, Leicester tried to secure Callum Doyle on a permanent transfer. However, FFP restrictions meant they could only settle for a loan. Any deal to sell Barnes will be for the right price which I believe will be around the £33m + add-ons. This could be lower or higher but based on other reports this is what I believe the price will be.

West Ham are also set to Match the £35m fee that Borussia Dortmund offered for Ajax Midfielder Edson Álvarez. Alongside Álvarez, The Hammers are hopeful of reaching an agreement with Juventus over Dennis Zakaria on a fee of around £15m-£18m.

Flynn Downes could also exit, but that depends on West Ham getting both Zakaria and Álvarez.
