Premier League Matchday 15 Preview & Predictions
Everton vs Liverpool
Everton: The Toffees finally found their shooting boots, beating Wolves 4-0. This game may be the last Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park. Expect Everton to come out of the gates flying.
Liverpool: The Reds are currently on fire, only losing once this season; however, they had a slight trip over at Newcastle with the game ending 3-3.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 2-0 Everton. Liverpool lost points against Newcastle for only the third time this season. Now they have to play in the Merseyside Derby in what may be the last one at Goodison Park. Everton rides their fans and momentum to get a win.
Alex’s Prediction: 4-0 Liverpool. The Reds are on fire and won’t stop for anyone right now
Aston Villa vs Southampton
Aston Villa: The Villans finally got out of their bad form by beating Brentford. Now, they play a team that is intent on self-destruction.
Southampton: I’m not sure how to sum us up other than self-destruction, to be honest. We give away easy goals. The worst part is that Southampton’s attacking play at the moment isn’t actually awful, and their patterns are good to watch.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 4-1 Villa. Southampton is a team that tries to lose games. Whether by a dumb red card, mistakes in buildup, or individual errors, they just find ways to lose. At Villa Park, this is a recipe for disaster.
Alex’s Prediction: 5-0 Villa. Calamity for Saints as always.
Brentford vs Newcastle
Brentford: Brentford continued their double personality for the season against Villa. So good at home, so bad away.
Newcastle: Eddie Howe’s men pulled a good performance vs. the league leaders, holding them to an enthralling 3-3 draw.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: : 3-2 Brentford. Newcastle plays well against teams that dominate the ball against them. The Bees do not even try to dominate the ball and they rely on their counter-attacking abilities. At home, where they are close to perfect, the Bees get a good win.
Alex’s Prediction: 2-0 Brentford. The Bees keep buzzing with a top performance.
Crystal Palace vs Manchester City
Crystal Palace: The eagles are slowly finding their feet at the moment after a torrential start

Manchester City: The Citizens finally got out of their bad run of form by dismantling Nottingham. They go to the Capital to play against Palace, who also managed to get some momentum by beating Ipswich. All eyes will be on Guardiola’s side to see whether they are finally past their issues or Nottingham’s result was just a flash.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 2-0 Manchester City. We have seen this movie before; City struggles in October and November only for them not to lose any game till May. They started their run by beating Forest and continued it by beating Palace.
Alex’s Prediction: 5-0 City. They are back and will be hard to stop.
Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest
Manchester United: Amorim got his first loss against Arsenal at the Emirates. The Red Devils were well organized but got burnt by Arsenal’s exceptional set pieces. Although Manchester United were toothless in attack, the Portuguese coach will take some encouragement from his team’s defensive discipline and structure against the Gunners.
Nottingham Forest: they had a tough run of games at the moment; however, they will slowly find feet again and contest heavily with United.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 2-0 Manchester United. Forest is starting to get back to the ground after their brilliant start to the season. They lost to Arsenal and City, and that trend continues at Old Trafford. The Red Devils continue their climb up the table.
Alex’s Prediction: 3-2 Manchester United. Emphatic end-to-end entertainment that ends with a Red Devils win.
Ipswich vs Bournemouth
Ipswich: The Tractor Boys lost points to a Palace in what was a six-pointer. Ipswich still struggles to beat teams that are close to their level and play well against higher-quality teams.
Bournemouth: A really entertaining side under Iraola who can properly contend for a European spot next season.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 2-2. A fun game between the Tractor Boys and The Cherries ends with a draw due to Ipswich having two more days of rest and the Cherries’ wastefulness.
Alex’s Prediction: 3-0 Cherries. An easy on-the-day performance against struggling Ipswich.
Fulham vs Arsenal
Fulham: Marco Silva’s side is finding some good performances as of late after a 3-1 win Vs Brighton and will look for more of the same after breaking into the top six.
Arsenal: The Gunners have struggled to break down Manchester United in open play, but they used their best plan B, which is set pieces. Most teams in the league would like to have a good plan B as Arsenal, but they need to improve in breaking down teams if they want a chance to compete for the league. Relying on set pieces is not enough to compete against City and Liverpool.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 2-1 Fulham. Marco Silva’s team counters Arsenal’s attacking set pieces well while hurting them on the counterattack. Also, playing at home will give Fulham the required push from their fans to ride Arsenal’s pressure.
Alex’s Prediction: 3-0 Arsenal. Easy win for the more expensive version of Stoke City, who uses their strengths (set pieces) to dominate the cottages.
Leicester vs Brighton
Leicester: Leicester rode the momentum and gave Ruud van Nistelrooy a win in his first game. Their defensive performance was not good though; they conceded 3.1 Xg and seven big chances. Yet, the Foxes were as clinical as their manager used to be in his playing days.
Brighton: Two rare sub-par performances recently this season for Brighton; however, an easy task with Leicester is next.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 3-1 Brighton. The Seagulls are a much better team than West Ham. They will not give Leicester seven big chances in the game, and if they get the amount of chances West Ham got; they will score a lot. It is difficult to see Ruud correcting the Foxes’ defensive issues in five days.
Alex’s Prediction: 4-0 Brighton. Easy game for Albion and the toughest test for Ruud van Nistelroy yet.

Tottenham vs Chelsea
Tottenham: A classic spursy performance against Bournemouth, which piled more pressure on Ange.

Chelsea: The Blues have proven that they are a team that should be taken seriously. They created 5.29 Xg against Southampton—the highest ever recorded—and 12 Big Chances against Southampton!!!! Yes, the Saints are bad, and they were playing with 10 men; yet Chelsea’s performance was the one of a serious team.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 4-2 Chelsea. Two teams that play open-attacking football and hate each other. This game is either going to be goals galore or a snoozefest. I am going with the goals galore, and Chelsea continues their unnoticed title push.
Alex’s Prediction: 4-0 Chelsea. Maresca absolutely outclasses Ange and potentially puts the final nail in the coffin.
West Ham vs Wolves
West Ham: El Sackicko is up next, and West Ham fans will be hoping for a win to push their season on.
Wolves: Wolves who had momentum after winning two consecutive games went out and looked like a League 2 team against Everton. It is becoming too difficult to see Gary O’Neil keeping his job if these types of performances continue.
Predictions:
Yassin’s Prediction: 3-3. Rejoice Wolves fans. Whenever I predict you to win, you lose, and whenever I predict you to lose, you win. This week, I am not taking responsibility for your team’s results, and I am going with a draw. In a game where the two managers need a result to alleviate pressure, none of them gets it in a fun and open game.
Alex’s Prediction: 2-0 West Ham. The Hammers win but lose El Sackicko as Gary O’Neil is sacked but Lopetegui stays.
