Huge blow for Cork u20s as star man Corbett suffers cruciate injury

Cork minor boss Bobbie O'Dwyer believes 'incredible' captain Conor Corbett  has a huge future in front of him

Cork u20 football manager Keith Ricken has been dealt a major blow to his sides hopes of reaching an All-Ireland final as confirmation that star attacker Conor Corbett has beem ruled out for the season with a cruciate ligament injury.

The Clyda Rovers man was forced off at half-time in their Munster final victory over Tipperary last Thursday,however a scan later revealed the extent of his injury.

Corbett had captained Cork minors to the All-Ireland title in 2019 and was in brilliant for for the U20s scoring 2-4 in their semi-final win over Kerry. A mercurial forward comfortable off both feet,calls had been coming for him to be elevated to the Cork senior panel.

Cork face Offaly in the u20 All-Ireland semi-final this Saturday but Keith Ricken will have to plan without his main man.
